Over the past week I got to spend a chunk of time with Jacob Low in Europe. If you don't know Jacob low is a player who played along side the likes of Ben Herald, Miguel De La Torre, myself, and many other players in the Bay Area of California during its boom back in the day. His style is fast and aggressive with cloud bounces and vicious loops. He along with Ben were the conduit for this style in the early 2020's. Jacob took a break from Dama to finish school, pursue his career, and hit the shit out of some golf balls for a while. After some time kendama does what it does and creeps back into your life and reminds you of how much fun it is.

Jacob decided to send it to EKC 2026 and re inject himself into the game. Just like riding a bike Jacob picked up the kendama right where he left off. He was still honed! Seeing Jacob come back reminded me that kendama is something that will live within you forever and it's not going anywhere. Feel free to step back and focus on school, work, relationships, and whatever else you got going on. Kendama will be there for you when you ready. NOW, you might not be as good as Jacob Low but I guarantee that your kendama will remember just where you left off and welcome you back with open cups.
