The Indiana lacers have been pulling up to events all around the US for years, so when they throw an event you gotta send it. There are so many kendama events happening all over the world and for the most part, they are all kinda the same with the difference being the people hosting and the venue. The pond truly breaks the mold. There is no other event in the world where you can watch freestyle from a kayak. There is no other event in the world where the cheers for a banger trick will be the same for catching the biggest fish in the pond. There is no other event in the world that feels this free.
It feels more like a music festival than a kendama event. From the moment you enter you are greeted in your car, checked in, and directed where to park. You can already feel the energy of the event. People are setting up their tents, swimming in the pond, playing kendama, and the music as already bumping.
The vibes don't stop and last well into the night and even wee hours of the morning with hot tubing, bbq, and smores over the fire. The photos featured here are from 2024. I went this year but was so into the event I never broke out the camera. There are only stories. Both Sweets and I were there and we did a full breakdown on the Damadads Podcast. Take a listen and I hope to see you at the pond next year. Thank you to the Indiana Lacers for hosting!
